Dear Philip and family,
I have seen your mother several times while visiting at Miller's Merry Manor. I remember her well. She was my kindergarten teacher. Kindergarten was held in the white house, no longer there, south of Lincoln School. She will be remembered by many from the PHS Class of 1961.
My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Good on you, Mrs. Murfitt. I had no idea you were still around, but then I haven't lived in Plymouth for 40 years now. I have fond memories of kindergarten in that semi-sunken classroom at the old Webster School back in 1957. Its the last time I took a nap on a rug! God bless you! |

A very sweet lady indeed, she was the kindergarden teacher at Webster. Then later on I got to meet up with her when I worked for a cleaning company that cleaned her home, she hadn't changed and she remember the Ganshorn family name, I think she taught 3 of us. What a great person she was! |

The best Kindergarten teacher ever!! Shortly after starting school, Mrs. Murfitt informed my mom that she may have started me in kindergarten too early (I was only 5), because I complained of having a stomach ache every day at school. Needless to say, she felt horrible when we found out I had to have an emergency appendectomy. After I had the surgery, and returned to school, everything was great!! I loved going to school......thanks to Mrs. Murfitt!
Sending out my deepest condolences to the family. Rest in Peace Mrs. Murfitt, you were the best! |

Sorry to hear of your loss. I had Mrs. Murfitt for Kindergartin at the Old Webster school. I have told the story over the years about Mrs. Murfitt wearing a white and red polka dot blouse and my all time favorite her watch ring. Such lasting memories she made upon a 5 year old. When I returned home 24 years ago to start my law practice I saw her at the Brass Rail and to my amazement she remembered me. I told her the story of the watch ring. She touched so many young peoples' lives. I feel privileged to have known her.

To the family of Mrs. Murfitt,
I had her as my kindergarten teacher at the old Webster school. She was my favorite teacher. Very nice and loving woman. I remember the most about her was that cool watch ring. I kept telling my mom I wanted one. So many memories ago. Rest in peace mrs. Murfitt.
