Patricia A. "Pat" Huff

December 1, 1928 - December 31, 2005

       Patricia A. ?Pat? Huff, a lifetime Plymouth resident, living at 310 Lynn Ave., died of natural causes, following an extended illness, at 3:14 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2005, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
      
       She was 77-years-old.
      
       Pat was born in Plymouth on December 1, 1928, the daughter of Andrew J. and Elizabeth Maley Tekulve. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1946.
      
       . Before her marriage she worked at Oliver Equipment in South Bend and on September 26, 1948, in Plymouth, Pat and Eldon ?Gene? Huff were married at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church
      
       A homemaker she thoroughly enjoyed raising her children. She worked at F.W. Means in Plymouth as a secretary and later, in the Plymouth School system as a library and study hall aide.
      
       Pat loved flowers, gardening and was a very talented artist.
      
       She enjoyed researching genealogy, becoming interested in 1976 and continuing for almost 30 years. She was very involved in the Marshall County Genealogy Society of which she was a founding member and office holder.
      
       She had traveled to Germany to do research and took her children to Ireland where together they studied family history.
      
       A founding member of Beta Sigma Phi, she also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 1162 and a member of St. Michael?s Church.
      
       Pat is survived by Gene, her husband of 57 years and their three sons and a daughter, all of Plymouth.
      
       Her children are: Debbie A. and Michael Fall; Kevin E. and Susan S. Huff; Bruce Huff and Brian and Lisa Huff.
      
       Nine grandchildren also survive. They are: Jeremy Roose, Michigan City, Ind.; Catherine and Michael Mattern, Plymouth, Ind.; Megan and Joshua Hammond, Argos, Ind.; Andy and Sarah Huff, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Craig Huff, Plymouth, Quinn and Heath Bowman, Plymouth, Casey Fall, South Bend, and Ariel Huff and Daryl Huff, Plymouth.
      
       A great-granddaughter, Landrie Mattern, Plymouth, survives as well, together with a sister, Mary Jane and Von Stoffer, Crown Point., Ind.
      
       Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
      
       Friends will be welcomed to celebrate the life of Pat Huff on Tuesday, January 3, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Ind. A rosary will be prayed at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
      
       Additional visitation will also be offered after 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning, January 4, 2006, prior to the funeral services that day.
      
       A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Pat in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Father William Kummer will officiate.
      
       Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
      
       Memorial gifts in Pat?s memory may be made to the Marshall County Historical Society.
