Jonathan ?John? Johnson, 55 of 304 Maplewood Avenue Bourbon died on Thursday May 19, 2005 at 6:43 pm in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
John was born in Muncie, Indiana to Allie and Martha Umbaugh Johnson on September 14, 1949. He attended schools in the Muncie School System.
He was a proud and honored Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army. On August 16, 1969 in Muncie, Indiana he and Brenda Ratliff we married.
John was a very skilled mechanic and capable of fixing just about anything. He was employed for the Lear Corporation, Bourbon, Indiana as the lead maintance foreman until the plant closing. He then went to work for Emergency Forklift Services, Plymouth, Indiana.
John was a very dedicated Christian and read and studied the bible often. He was also very skilled on the computer, he loved and cherished his time with his wife and family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Brenda, and three sons, Erick and Gary (Jessica) Johnson, and Cody Haynes all of Bourbon. Three grandchildren: Grant, Chelsea and Ethan Johnson, and a sister Patti (Mike) Dunica, Marion, Indiana survive him as well.
John was proceeded in death by his parents and a brother, David Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 25, 2005 from 10 to 11 am in the Bourbon United Pentecostal Church, Bourbon.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday May 25, 2005 in the church with Brother Mark Cotrill officiating.
