Glady E. Sisk

September 19, 1923 - May 6, 2005

       Gladys E. Sisk, 81, affectionately called ?Little Grandma,? by her family and close friends, died on Friday, May 6, 2005, at 2:43 a.m. at her residence, 805 Baker St., Plymouth, following an extended illness.
      
       ?Little Grandma? loved and was deeply loved in return by her devoted grandchildren and great-grandchildren?and they, in turn, were her pride and joy.
      
       Gladys was a Marshall County resident all of her life. She was born in Plymouth on September 19, 1923, the daughter of Clyde and Mary Edith Sheneman Zumbaugh. She was a LaPaz High School graduate with the class of 1942.
      
       On June 29, 1957, in Plymouth, Gladys and Harold L. Sisk were married. Harold died on March 21, 1989.
      
       She was a homemaker for her family and had also worked as a cashier at area grocery stores: Dave & Rays, Family Fare and Millers.
      
       An avid reader, Gladys also enjoyed being outside. She loved spending time with her family, enjoying frequent
       family dinners with her children and grandchildren.
      
       ?Little Grandma? is survived by two daughters, a step-daughter and a step-son.
      
       Her daughters and their spouses are: Sherry and Dan Milner and Susan and Rex Crump, all of Plymouth. Her step-daughter and husband are Sandra and Ellis Stiles, also of Plymouth and Kent and Joan Sisk, Lewisville, Texas.
      
       Seventeen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive, together with a sister, Jo Ann Ringer and sister-in-law; LaEuna Zumbaugh also of Plymouth.
      
       Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers: Roy E. ?Elzie? Zumbaugh and Marvin ?Dale? Zumbaugh and one grandson, Christopher Masterson.
      
       Friends will be welcomed to celebrate the life of Gladys on Monday, May 9, 2005, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church where she was a member, the Plymouth Baptist Church, 11345 9A Road, Plymouth.
      
       Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Doug Jividen of the Plymouth Baptist Church, will take place following visitation at 11:30 am.
      
       Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
      
       In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Plymouth Baptist Church?s Building Program.
