Edna L. Bottorff

December 21, 1910 - January 19, 2005

       Former Plymouth resident of Mill Pond Lake, Edna L. Bottorff, 94, living in Portage, Indiana, since 1999, died at 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2005, in Fountainview Place, Portage, Indiana.
      
       Born on December 21, 1910 in Glenmore, Ohio, Edna was the daughter of Charles and Clara Shaffer Kreischer.
      
       Edna and Wilmer J ?Bill? Bottorff met on a Halloween blind date in 1930, they married that following July 25th, in Plymouth and have remained sweethearts for over 73 years.
      
       A busy homemaker with two sons, she enjoyed house keeping and gardening. She was an outdoors person and fishing was her sport.
      
       Edna was an active member of Plymouth?s First Baptist Church.
      
       She is survived by Bill and their sons and daughters-in-law, James C. and Susan Bottorff, also of Portage, and Robert J Sr. and Patricia Bottorff of Florida.
      
       Four grandchildren also survive, they are; Robert J Bottorff Jr., Bryan Bottorff, Stephanie Bottorff and Aimee Bottorff.
      
       A sister, Clara and her husband Norman Floyd, Knox, Indiana and a sister-in-law, Pearl Kreischer, Grovertown, survive as well with numerous nieces and nephews.
      
       Edna was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters; Estie Merrill, Nellie Kreischer, Ethelyn Porter, Pearl Etchason and Eleanor Hutchinson. Three brothers have also died, Jack, Raymond and Charles Kreischer.
      
       Friends will be welcomed to celebrate Edna?s life with her family from 4 to 7 p.m. E.S.T. on Friday, January 21, 2005, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, and for one hour prior to services in the church on Saturday.
      
       Funeral services for Edna will be performed by the Rev. Lonnie Nicholl, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Highway 17 next to Saint Joseph Hospital, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2005.
      
       Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Plymouth.
