Lifetime Plymouth resident, Richard C. ?Dick? Wenino, 77, 1105 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, died in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, at 12:15 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2004.
A 1946 graduate of Plymouth High School, Dick was born in Chicago, Ill., on February 4, 1927. He was the son of Harry E. and Marie Elizabeth Dehner Wenino.
During World War II, Dick was in the Signal Corp. of the United States Army.
On December 9, 1950, in Plymouth, Dick and Bona M. Balsey were married. Bona died on December 5, 1994.
A popular, expert and trusted auto mechanic, Dick was co-owner of the Wenino Shell Station, at the intersection of U.S. 30 and 31, for 41 years with his brother, Louis. He retired in 1985.
Dick enjoyed going to Beeson?s Gun Club in Etna Green, and also enjoyed spending time at his farm.
Dick is survived by a daughter and her husband, Beth M. (Daniel) Arnold, Plymouth.
Two granddaughters also survive. They are Quinn (Jeff) Selner, Plymouth and Amanda Arnold of Middlebury.
Two brothers survive as well: Louis E. (Betty) Wenino and Robert H. (Beverly) Wenino, also of Plymouth.
Two nieces and two nephews also survive.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a daughter, Angela Gay McCollough.
Friends are invited to come and share with his family the good memories of Dick?s life from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2004, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Ind.
Services in the funeral home will follow visitation at 11 a.m.
The Rev. Dr. Ronald Liechty will officiate.
Interment will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorials may be made to Saint Joseph?s Regional Medical Center or Plymouth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
