David F. Sekirka, 67, of Plymouth, passed away on the evening of Monday, October 8, 2018, at the St. Joseph Medical Center, Plymouth. David was born on December 3, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Charles and Marilyn J. (Smid) Sekirka.
He was a graduate of Oregon Davis High School in Hamlet, Indiana.
On October 21, 1978, David was united in marriage to Nancy K. Smith in the Teegarden United Methodist Church. Nancy preceded David in death on May 29, 2011.
David was employed at the Banks Lumber Company in Elkhart for many years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was also a computer enthusiast and a master at video games.
David is survived by his brother-in-law, Don (Lori) Smith of Plymouth.
David was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Daniel Sekirka.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, with Pastor Tom Anders officiating.
Burial will take place in the Morris Cemetery.
Memorials should be directed to the Plymouth Church of the Brethren, 1130 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, in David?s memory.
