Thelma M. Woolley

March 4, 1928 - April 26, 2018

       Thelma M. (Cox) Woolley age 90, of Plymouth passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday afternoon April 26, 2018 at her home in Plymouth. She was born on March 4, 1928 in Plymouth to Elmer and Ilo (Stone) Cox and was one of 8 children and all have preceded her in death except for 1 sister, Mary Nissen of Rochester, IN. She married James R. Woolley on October 30, 1949 in Plymouth and he preceded her in death February 6, 1998.
      
       Survivors include one daughter; Martha (Scott) Hollett of South Bend; grandchildren: Raymond (Melanie) Hollett of Warsaw, Steven (Lori) Hollett of Plymouth, Phillip (Hiromi) Hollett of Osceola, and Diana (Tom) Harley of Forney, TX; great grandchildren: Daniel, Nathaniel, Sarah, Mary, Mercedes, Austin, Joshua and Jacob; and a growing number of great great grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other extended family members, and many close friends.
      
       She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers: Richard Cox, Donald Cox, sisters: Irene Pontius, Gracie Cox, Mildred Servis, and Patricia Dixon.
      
       Thelma attended Plymouth schools and was a lifelong resident of Plymouth. She was employed at various retail establishments and most recently was the owner operator of ?Forget Me Not? collectibles and attended many farmers markets and area shows showing antiques and glassware.
       She was featured in the Tri State Trader Antique newspaper several times for her antique glassware. She was known for the annual Family Christmas Cookie Bake started by her and her sister, Mildred. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles on her IPad and piecing together jigsaw puzzles. Thelma was also a dedicated member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
      
       Of most importance to her and her greatest source of joy was her family and many close friends.
       At her request a private family service will be held at a later date at New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
