Jennifer K. Holtzman, 56, of Prettyman Street, Knox, IN, was taken home by angels at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, IN.
Jenny was born in Hammond, IN on December 3, 1955 to Harry and Margaret (Land) Cole.
A graduate of Peoria, IL, Jenny spent most of her life as a loving house wife. On September 15, 2004 Jenny married Milton Holtzman in Plymouth, IN.
Together, Milton and Jenny enjoyed dancing, music, bowling and playing cards. She was fun to be around and to have great conversations with. Jenny was a genuine, caring person. She loved animals. Milton and she watched her favorite movie ?Gone with the Wind? every year and once she moved to Hospice, Milton would be there every morning when she woke up to have breakfast with her. She was Milton?s ?Earth-bound Angel?, saying prayers with each other every day.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Milton of Knox, IN; her sons, Gary L. Irons of Plymouth, IN and James D. Irons of IL; five step-sons, Patrick Holtzman, Timothy, Lanny, Wayne and David Irons; her sister Jeri (David) Diggs of VA, as well as numerous grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her first spouse, Gary L. Irons, Sr.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan St., Plymouth.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 12 p.m. EDT in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home with Life Celebrant Roberta Norris officiating.
