Former Plymouth resident, Wesley Frederick Collins, 21, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday in Plymouth. Wes, a 2008 graduate of Plymouth High School was now in his second year of studies in Muncie?s Ivy Tech business school.
      
       He was born the son of Nancy K. (Brown) Collins and Jimmie Lee Collins Jr. on October 14, 1989 in Knox, Indiana. He was raised in Plymouth along with his three siblings; Jennifer Renee (Greg) Blackburn, Amy Lee Collins and Jimmie Lee Collins III all of Plymouth.
      
       While a student at P.H.S., Wes was a member of the football squad his freshman and sophomore years but found his comfort zone as a member of the Speech ? debate team and theater production. Wes had a genuine love and respect for sports and his commentary on player?s stats and trades was prolific.
      
       Early on Wes acquired an interest in the culinary arts and during high school he worked part-time at Ponderosa and for nearly two years following graduation he worked at Applebee?s. Most recently he took a job at Subway in Muncie and hoped to one day attend Culinary School.
      
       He appreciated rap music and loved his cat "Bob" who looked just like a Bobcat.
      
       Wes?s first love was people and making them happy, especially his own family, starting with the little ones and had one day hoped to have ten children of his own. He was always in the thick of things, never camera shy and loved to engage his female cousins in verbal rivalry.
      
       Also surviving are Wes?s paternal grandpa, Jimmie Lee Collins Sr. of Knox, and maternal grandparents; David and Fumiko Brown of Denver, Colorado along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
      
       Wes was home on Monday of this week to attend the funeral of his Ma Maw, Lois J. Collins who passed away on July 28th.
      
       Family and friends who shared in the life of Wesley Collins will come together from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Roberta Norris as the celebrant.
      
       Burial will immediately follow in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
