Sr. Clarence Caspermyer PHJC

August 12, 1930 - May 1, 2011

       Sr. Clarence Caspermyer, PHJC, 80, was received into the arms of her Savior on Sunday morning, May 1, 2011 at her residence in the Catherine Kasper Life Center, Donaldson, Indiana.

       Sister Clarence was the youngest of nine children born to John and Johanna Caspermeyer in Quincy, Illinois on August 12, 1930.

       As a young girl Wilma had made up her mind to become a sister. She entered the Poor Hand Maids of Jesus Christ in 1949 and took her vows in 1951. She became known to all as Sister Clarence.

       Sister received her degree, in Nursing and then in Supervision. She loved caring for others and in so doing, she quickly and quietly became known as the female St. Francis and resident veterinarian all in one little woman. Sister Clarence loved animals from horses, to guinea pigs, deer to squirrels; she loved and blessed the animals and their owners.

       When sitting quietly in the evening she would enjoy the reruns of the Lawrence Welk Show.

       We leave you with one memory of Sister Clarence.

       Goodnight, goodnight, until we meet again
       Adios, AuRevoir, Auf Wiedersehn ?til then
       And though it?s always sweet sorrow to part
       You know you?ll always remain in our heart
       Goodnight, sleep tight and pleasant dreams to you
       Here?s a wish and a prayer that every dream comes true
       And now till we meet again
       Adios, AuRevoir, Auf Wiedersehn.

       Lyrics by Jack Elliott, music by George Cates.;

       Visitation for Sister Clarence will be in the Catherine Kasper Home Chapel, 9601 Union Road, Donaldson, Ind., from 4:30 to 9 p.m., with the Prayer Service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.

       The Liturgy will be celebrated by the Rev. Ed. Konnerman at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in the Catherine Kasper Home Chapel.

       Internment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Donaldson, Indiana.
