James A. Flower

April 11, 1942 - April 17, 2011

       James A. Flower, 69, died at 6 p.m. of natural causes at his residence on Dickson St., Plymouth, on Sunday, April 17, 2011.
      
       Jim was born on April 11, 1942, in Detroit, Mich. He was the son of Ulysses Allison Flower and Margaret Thelma Withington . He attended school in Detroit.
      
       On July 19, 1961, Jim and Vernell Bach were married in Detroit.
      
       Jim worked for Bremen Castings for 32 years.
      
       He was a NASCAR fan, particularly of Dale Earnhardt. Ensconced in the Marshall County Bowling Hall of Fame, he loved the game. A member of the U.A.W. Local, he bowled in several leagues.
      
       Jim loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Vernell, of Plymouth, and by their two sons, James Adam (Lori) Flower, Argos: and Lloyd Clemmons (Linda) Flower, all of Argos.
      
       He leaves four beloved grandchildren: Cody Flower, Leona Flower, Samantha Flower and Allison Flower and one great grandchild, Izayha Glassburn.
      
       Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
      
       The Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, is in charge of arrangements.
