Emma Jean Favorite

October 22, 1924 - July 15, 2010

      
       Emma ?Jean? Favorite, 85, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 in the Hospice House of Elkhart. A Pretty Lake resident since 1961, her death followed an extended illness.
      
       She was born Emma Jean Humes in Culver, Indiana, the daughter of Ernest E. and Olive G. (Grimes) Humes. She received her education in Leiters Ford, Indiana.
      
       Jean was preceded in death by her first spouse, Robert Brundige in 1957. On February 14, 1959 she married Dean L. Favorite in Argos. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1989.
      
       For eleven years Jean was employed by the Culver Military Academy food service department and retired from there in 1992. At home she enjoyed flower gardening.
      
       She is survived by her son Michael D. Favorite of Plymouth, her step-daughter and spouse; Barbara and Dewane Cessna of Elkhart along with four grandchildren; Michael, Tari-Lynn, Matthew and Keith whom she enjoyed spending her time with. Her close friend Kenneth Henry also survives.
      
       Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in the New Oakhill Cemetery Chapel. The Rev. Charles Krieg will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
