Jack Scott Rankert

August 9, 1955 - August 30, 2008

       Jack Scott Rankert, 53, died in the home of friends in Rochester, at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday August 30, 2008.
      
       Born in Plymouth, IN., on August 9, 1955, Jack was the son of Denzel and Shirley Dolph Rankert.
      
       He graduated from LaVille High School with the class of 1973, and then attended Indiana University in Bloomington. He was employed with the Indiana Department of Transportation in Plymouth.
      
       Jack was an avid and talented marksman who loved his cats, cooking, coffee, friends, and a good laugh.
      
       He is survived by his sister, Sue Ellen (Bill) Rankert Moore of Florence, WI; his brothers Jeffery (Susan) Rankert of Milford, MI; Murray (Shari) Rankert of Indianapolis, IN; and Drew Rankert of Argos. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins survive as well, along with numerous loving friends.
      
       Jack was preceded in death by his parents.
      
       The family will welcome friends to celebrate Jack's life on Saturday, September 6, 2008, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
      
       Funeral services for Jack will follow visitation in the funeral home at 3 p.m.
      
       Memorial gifts in Jack?s memory may be given to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
