Phyllis Jean Slane

May 8, 1931 - January 31, 2008

       Phyllis Jean Slane of Kenwood Avenue, Plymouth passed away peacefully at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2008 in Miller?s Merry Manor, Plymouth, of natural causes.
      
       Phyllis was born in Plymouth on May 8, 1931 to Lawrence and Ethyl (Zimmerman) Gunn.
      
       On July 16, 1960, in Plymouth she married Chuck Slane, who survives.
      
       Also surviving are a half sister, Betty Townsend of Brentwood, TN; and a half brother, Guy Jacobson of Montoursville, PA.
      
       She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
      
       Phyllis was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veteran?s, and Veteran?s of Foreign Wars ladies auxiliaries. She was Past Commander in the DAV, and Past President in the VFW, as well as Past 3rd District President in the VFW.
      
       There will be no services or visitation and cremation will take place.
      
       Memorials may be made to Miller?s Merry Manor, Catherine Kasper Home, Marshall County Hospice and Palliative Care, or any Charity of the donor?s choice.
