Marion L. Ogle

December 4, 1919 - January 25, 2008

      Marion L. Ogle, 88, died of natural causes on Friday, January 25, at 10:45 a.m. in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Indiana.
      
       She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on December 4, 1919, the daughter of Arthur R. and Josephine E. (Everett) Colley.
      
       A Mishawaka High School graduate with the class of 1939. Marion also graduated from the House of James, School of Cosmetology, South Bend.
      
       On April 28, 1930, in Mishawaka, Marion and Claude F. Ogle were married. Claude died in October of 1981.
      
       A retired cosmetologist, Marion had worked for ten years in the Koontz Lake and Plymouth area.
      
       Marion enjoyed crocheting, knitting and other crafts.
      
       She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Plymouth.
      
       Marion is survived by four daughters and two sons. Her daughters are Valerie V. Seese, Koontz Lake, Ind., Jane A. Shoemaker, LaPorte, Ind., Dinah L. (Jim) Gray, White Pigeon, Mich., and Polly A. Miller, Great Falls, Mont.
      
       Her sons are Claude F. ?Duke? and Janice Ogle, Walkerton, Ind., and Sam L. (Tonya) Ogle, Plymouth, Ind.
      
       Special granddaughter, Colleen Schmeltz of South Bend survives along with 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.
      
       Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and four sisters.
      
       Marion?s request was that there be no visitation or funeral service and that she be remembered in the following way?
      
       Do not stand at my grave and weep;
       I am not there, I do not sleep.
       I am a thousand winds that blow.
       I am the diamond glints on snow.
       I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
       I am the gentle autumn?s rain.
       When you awaken in the morning?s hush
       I am the swift uplifting rush
       Of quiet birds in circled flight.
       I am the soft stars that shine at night.
       Do not stand at my grave and cry;
       I am not there, I did not die.
      
       Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, Osceola, Indiana.
