Betty was a beautiful person! She always kissed and hugged us when ever she saw us! She brought us Chocolate Charlie at Christmas time and TriKappa eggs at Easter . Her husband and her were so gracious and welcomed everyone 😊. Both are together now riding those motorcycles in the sky! Miss you Betty💗

Betty was graciousness and kindness personified. What a sweet and elegant woman. She always had a smile and a kind word, along with her gentle hugs and kisses on the cheek. She had a beautiful way of making you feel as if you were the most important person in the world. May she rest in peace.

Betty and Jim were such special people to our family. I remember when she pierced my ears at 13 and I was crying and my Mom said, “If she had another needle I would get it done too”! And Betty said “I have plenty of needles”! So Mom had to get her’s pierced first!! We all laughed so hard! She was at the hospital for the birth of my kids which was wonderful! My condolences to Jeff, Scott and Sue. She was so wonderful and always a hugger! We who knew her have been blessed!

I was so blessed to have grown up in my teen years as next door neighbor to Dr. Jim and Betty Rimel. They have three adorable children whom I used to sit for many years ago. I have so many fond memories and remember that I used to say that Betty look a lot like Lucille Ball. They gave so much to the Plymouth community over the years and were so respected. Heaven is a much richer place today having them both as lifetime residents. God bless the family with the peace of knowing that Betty is with her lifetime love and glorious Savior in Heaven. She is at peace for the first time in a long time.

Dear Sue, Scott and Jeff, Sorry to hear about your mother's passing. The first time I saw your mother she was waiting to have photos taken at Olan Mills in Plymouth. She was sitting there with little Jeff on her lap. I thought she was so pretty. She remained photogenic all her life. I enjoyed being neighbors with her and Jim. Betty and I ran in the first (or second) Blueberry Race. I think we set a record that's probably never been broken. (slowest) But we had a lot of laughs about it over the years. Take care. Love, Marie

Betty was a sweetheart for sure, always so caring, kind and full of compassion. She was a wonderful nurse taking great care of the patients. We knew her at St. Michael, too, where she was a dedicated example of faith. It’s good that she and the love of her life, Dr. Rimel are together again. They were both excellent role models. We send our prayers and sympathy to the Rimel family.
