Enjoyed spending time with Myrna years ago writing a story for the paper about the wonderful Swedish dinner she did. And it WAS wonderful!

Myrna and Don were two of the best neighbors we’ve had the pleasure of knowing. At church Myrna was always quick with a hug and to ask how are girls were doing. She was a special lady and God brought home one of his very best !

So many years of that beautiful smile. I never heard her complain. She was good at hiding her discomfort, the worries, and concerns she must have had

You all we’re blessed to have had her in your lives. A great example setter and leader for all of you.

Remember that smile, the good times shared, and the love she bestowed.

God Bless.

Myrna was born into a kind and loving family. She had three great sons and added four more wonderful children, with her marriage to Don.

She was a true sweetheart, kind, gentle, with a very calming voice, and fun to be with. She was a faithful servent, to God, and a loving person to her entire family, and friends.

Myrna was a terrific cook and baker. She was also a gracious hostess.

She and Ingrid, were famous on December 13th, "Santa Lucia Day". What a beautiful tradition to have this girl in white, with a crown of candles on her head, ring your doorbell, VERY EARLY in the morning, with a delicious tray of Swedish goodies and coffee, served to you in your "jammies". We were blessed to be one of the recipients of this beautiful tradition.

We will miss her, too. She was truly a great lady, with lots of love, to share with others.

Our love and prayers to her wonderful family,
Ren and Beverly Van Gilder

Curt, Janet, Eileen, Brent, and all of Myrna’s family: I am so sorry for all of our great loss. Myrna was special. For me, it was evident upon every visit to the Hayloft. What a stroke of sustained genius and hard work! Restoring a barn to a restaurant? Really?
I was also blessed to have her as a colleague in the prosecutor’s office. Your smile, greeting and ever pleasant disposition will be forever missed, Myrna. Godspeed.

I am so very sorry to have lost such a good friend to myself and so many others. It is hard to believe that she is gone but knowing she will be tending flowers for our God. She was a remarkable person and will be missed

I always loved her swedish meatballs. Every time I would see her usually helping at the elections she always remembered me before I even knew who she was. She always had a big smile and asked about my mom and family. She always gave my mom a hug. She was such a sweet lady. She was a 'swedish' relative. Being a great cook must be in the swedish blood.

Walking in our neighborhood was not the same this week. I missed seeing, waving, and visiting with Myrna. Her dedication to her lawn and gardens was something to behold and admire. Although this past year was, I am sure, her toughest, you would not know it while talking with Myrna. She never complained, but talked frequently about how much she missed her Don. I'm filled with happiness knowing that she is with him once again. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.

I just learned of Myrna's passing and am deeply saddened. Myrna was gracious and kind. I have so many wonderful memories of her and all the fun we had during our "Hayloft" years. Myrna was a dear friend. Curt, Steve, Karen, and Eileen, you are in my thoughts as you mourn the passing of your mom and sister. A few years ago, when she visited me here in Fishers, she gave me a beautiful lily that I named the "Myrna Lily." It has a special place at the entrance to my home. Now, when I will watch it bloom, I'll be reminded of what a precious gift I was given in life for having known Myrna and for being able to call her "friend.."
