Had planned to try and see Don when things would open up. So sorry this could not have happened. He was a wonderful guy and so down to earth. Thoughtful and caring! What more can we ask of someone.

On the political scene he was always the gentleman!

My thoughts and prayers to his family!

Don was not only my uncle - he was like a second father to me. He inspired my interest in politics at a young age and was an important role model for what it means to be a good citizen and caring individual. I will always treasure the times we spent together and be grateful for his presence in my life.

My mother dated Don’s son Tom for many years. I enjoyed going to the lake house and spending time there. I can still remember the comforting smell of Don’s pipe. Don and Evelyn were always warm and welcoming and I will always have fond memories of the whole family. Don made me a wooden Christmas bear wall hanging that I still put up every year. I hope Jim and Becky are well.

Thoughts, prayers and condolences,

Becky and Jim,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. What a wonderful man! He and your mom were my second parents in my early years. So many great memories on Donald St. with Tom and how I truly felt that your mom and dad were like my second parents. Mom and dad were so fortunate to have such good friends for such a long time.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.

Have lots of enjoyable memories - sharing with your dad and mother while delivering the newspapers to them as well as putting in and taking out their pontoon at Lake of the Woods. A thoughtful and caring man with many interesting stories to share.
