Glenda was s wonderful lady!!
Her mother was a hard working, kind lady!!
Her kids followed in her footsteps, very successful & what great grandchildren they presented to Glenda. I did not know the grandchildren but I was aware of their accomplishments!!
God knew it would take a special lady to be a partner to JohnšŸ˜. All of his ideas would be hard for most ladies to keep up with, but
Glenda handled it with grace & her wonderful smile!!
The swing on the porch will never been the same without John & Glenda!!

Glenda was a colleague and friend at Ancilla College. I remember her as quiet and very easy to visit. We had great conversations about Abraham Lincoln books which I collected. Every summer she would call me to the library and sell me ($.25) those books she was moving out of her collection. She was a great Christian example. May you all have peace and comfort during this tragic time. The Best Is Yet To Come!!

Elizabeth, Kathy, Phillip, & Jane -
It was with prayer that I read of your Mother's new life in Heaven, with John and, all of the angles & saints. Your dad and I grew up together, as best boyhood friends, in the south end of Plymouth. When he met your Mom he was in a new Heaven, a different world, with a new and never ending, so true deep love. Each of you shared that love with your Mom as only a child can. With that in mind please know that my though are with each of you, and your family. Now, as your Mom is experience the embrace of the load let me leave you with this familiar and perfect prayer.

"Eternal rest Grant unto her,
O Lord, and let Perpetual Light
Shine upon her. May She rest
in Peace". Amen

To Liz, Kathy, Phil and Jane,
You are all at the graveside service right now celebrating the wonderful life of your mother, Glenda. I am here in Tennessee looking over your Mom’s obituary and picture saying a prayer for you all. May God give you comfort and peace in the upcoming days, as only He can provide. I’m so saddened we were not able to mourn with you in person, but please know we are with you in spirit, right now at this very moment during Glenda’s graveside service. She was the sweetest Aunt ever! We always had a blast at your house every summer; roller skating, listing to the jukebox, riding bikes and having sleep overs. Aunt Glenda made us countless bags of popcorn to enjoy while we watched TV in the ā€œgirls basement bedroomā€. I miss those days, but glad I was able to experience them with all of you.
Love From Tennessee,
Cousin Jennifer Harmon

What a disappointment that Glenda will not be participating in her Grandaughter, Emma Nellans wedding planned for June 2020. The picture of her was exactly as she was always seen, comfortable, pleasant and helpful. Sorry that a group of support individuals could not have been available to surround those of you in the family. Her loss affects many. Glenda was truly a gem in all ways.
