Uncle Joe was a wonderful man who was loved by many. He loved his family very much and was so proud of all of them. I have many fond memories of him from childhood and until the last time I saw him on my visit in November 2017. He will be missed by his family, his extended family, and all the many friends he made over all these years.

Mary ..all of us at the Wound Healing Center send you and your family our love. We all loved Joe and respected him a great deal. Joe was a great man who had so many interesting stories. He was proud for serving his country. He will be missed.

Mary, and the whole family. I drive a lot of folks a lot of places and some of the best times I’ve had doing so the last several years involved Joe. Entertaining, engaging, honest, relentlessly upbeat, faithful, funny . . . . What a complete, Christian gentleman; I’ll miss your Dad a lot and look forward to catching up with him someday.

To all Joe always had a great smile, a positive attitude, and comments that were sometimes unexpected but were always delightful. He and Dorothy are dancing together again! Thoughts and prayers to all.

I met Joe while working at The Center at Donaldson, where he was a Maria Center and later a Catherine Kasper Home resident. We became friends instantly. Joe lived everyday to the fullest and never stopped learning. He always had a smile, a hug, and a peppermint for everyone. He taught me a lot about living in service of others. Once, when he saw me carrying a heavy box of printed material to another ministry, he put the box on his lap in his power chair and escorted me and my printing to the ministry to deliver it. Then I got a mint. I love him and I will miss him. May God bless the Coury family, and may Joe rest in Heavenly peace.

I'm going to miss you Joe. You loved being a part of Kiwanis and helping out for the Ancilla Golf Classic. You were a very generous man and you'll be missed.

I would like to extend my condolences, and share these wonderful promises from the Scriptures. May they help you endure the loss of Joe, for Jehovah is the God of all comfort. “Do not be anxious.....but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” Isaiah 26:4; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4; Philippians 4:6-7 NWT. And in the future, sickness will be gone forever from the earth. “No resident will say: “I am sick.” Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:3, 4 NWT. Peace, and many happy memories of Joe be with you.

We were so privileged to care for Joe, and we enjoyed serving one who served so well. He always made us laugh and smile, and I hope we did the same for him! We miss him and always will
