Vi was a very special lady and a great friend for years. I was among the lucky ones who enjoyed many canasta games with her. She was a joy to be around. There was a time we went to Nappanee to shop; Vi was driving. We were on back roads and were SO lost, but my gosh, we had such fun and laughed so much we had tears in our eyes. There was never a dull moment with Vi. My grown kids loved her too! Like Linda S wrote, we haven’t been together in awhile, but I still consider her a beautiful friend. Janet

My sisters and I are grieving with you at the early and unexpected loss of our fun-loving Aunt Vi. We are getting some small pleasure knowing that she is once again in the company of her beloved husband, Gary and he is probably trying to keep both her and my mom, JoAnne, from raising cane together! I know that she was so proud of all of her kids and what they had accomplished thus far. I'm so happy that we got to visit last fall and those fond memories of all the stories and laughter we shared over your great cooking, Karla, will keep me going for awhile. Vi was not only kind, fun, and full of laughter, but she was also so brave and strong. I know she experienced a lot of pain and heartache over the years, but she is singing in the heavenly choir now and you will always hear her voice.

Love and many hugs to all of you from your FAVORITE cousins!

Karla, We were so sorry to hear of your Mother's untimely death. I know you are devastated, as you and your Mother were so close and you always spoke so lovingly of her. Your Mother was a beautiful lady; saw her picture in the obituaries in the Pilot. Would have known instantly that she was your Mother as you look SO much like her. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, and know God will give you the strength to get through this terrible time. Love & Blessings, Ed & Lora

Karla, Mike and Michelle,
Our hearts are extremely heavy as we grieve your loss with you. Your mom was a special person and long time friend. What an inspiration to all the lives she touched. She not only accepted her suffering so courageously, but remained so positive. We have so many special memories that go back to playing cards 3-4 nights a week with your mom and dad when we were young marrieds. Your mom loved music. We remember when she sang with the "Sweet Adelines." She loved every minute and we enjoyed listening! Karla, you were the BEST daughter. Your mom told us numerous times how much she appreciated all that you did for her. Mike, your mom cherished your Sunday visits and your discussions. She would often mention how blessed she was to have such caring kids. God bless you for taking such good care of her.

Vi left this world leaving it a better place and now she is celebrating the rewards of eternal life. We love you, Vi. We will miss your contagious laugh and friendship.

My heartfelt sympathy to the family of Vi . I worked with Vi in the local beauty group in South Bend along with the another friend Ken Coddens. We worked together in State Hairdressers Association in Indianapolis furthering the industry. She was very devoted to always doing the right thing toward making the beauty industry professional. It was a pleasure knowing and working with her.

So sad to just now see that Vi has passed. What a special time we had working together at Culver Girls Academy. I can still hear her wonderful laugh and the joy she could bring to any situation. And oh how the girls at CGA loved her. Heaven is richer now. Much love and prayers to all of you as you walk through these tender days. Hebrews 4:15-16. Fondly,
Judy Delp
