You have left an emptiness Steve. I miss the thought of you not being with us. The conversations, the laughter, working together..that glimmer in the eye, the raised eye-brow just before the strike in DT's. smile..Wish I could have been there , maybe..

Godspeed old friend, may we meet again.

We're so very sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you, your family and friends. Deb, I remember when you first brought Steve over to the house for dinner. You took us aside to ask if we could serve his food in separate bowls,or at least make sure the foods didn't touch, because it was a thing for him. 🙂 I always thought that was great. Such a great guy, grateful for his humor and his service. Love you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Stephens passing. I was the Lead Counselor when he went through the recruit school. He was a class young man and a man I was proud to know. He was an excellent Trooper and I know he was proud to wear the uniform. We will miss you and look forward to meeting you again Brother.

I’m so sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. I just learned of it through Dave and Sue Barth. Steve and I were childhood friends, growing up in Avilla, and graduating from East Noble High School in 1979. We shared many adventures, many friends, many card games and a lot of family time around his family dinner table. Once I moved away from Indiana, we started to lose touch. I haven’t had a chance to talk to Steve for a very long time and have thought of him often. A life well lived and way to short. My family wishes to express our condolences to yours. I know Steve is in a better place. God Bless…
