A beautifully written tribute to a great man who we will remember as strong, kind, intelligent, patient, respectful, hard-working and always willing to help others. We will miss Brent in our daily lives here until we are reunited with our family and friends in heaven.
God bless you. We send our condolences to Beth and Brents sister, Bev.

With Sympathy,
Deb & David Wertz

Brent was more than a neighbor--he was a good friend and one of the people I most respected in this life. Before he moved in next door, I met him as a young follow shooting for a pistol team that competed with mine. Later my team dissolved and I joined his Mishawaka Team. And for the first time I was happy, because he was an amazingly fine competitor and one of the best shooters I've ever known. It was far better to be shooting on his team than against him. Brent was also a virtual library of information about so many things. Often, before even consulting the Internet, I would go next door and ask Brent, and I typically received the information I sought. But above all, Brent was my friend. He was kind, almost to a fault, and he was always happy and willing to chat. I will miss the bonfire/cookouts, his camaraderie on our pistol team, but mostly I will miss him. Godspeed, Brent.

Beth,

We are very sorry for the loss of Brent. We enjoyed getting to know both of you at Trivia events and at Deb and David’s. Brent was a very talented and kind man.

To Beth and family,
I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Brent. I was very moved when I read your story of Bret. From playing together on the same Little League team to being with him in class, I remember Brent as a person who had a sense of humor but tended not to show it very often. Brent had a very quiet demeanor about him that was often misunderstood, but in reality he would be a friend you could always depend on and a person who would see you as you really were.It is never easy to lose a loved one regardless of the circumstances. May the peace that comes with the understanding of Christ be there to give you comfort and peace. Tears are the price we must pay for loving someone. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Beth and Family:

My deepest sympathy at your unfathomable loss. Tricia, whose friend in Memphis I am, has talked so much about Brent and you and your life together. It sounds like a beautiful Love Story. I am so sorry it ended far too soon.

You are in my prayers for strength and peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Brent's passing, so glad that Deb let me know. I will miss seeing Brent and working on his vehicles. I considered him a friend and felt honored to be entrusted with his Chevy truck and especially his GTO when he owned it. I'm glad he got to see the house built on the farm but sorry he didn't get to enjoy it longer. My prayers are with you, his family, as you grieve.
