My Condolences, and prayers are with the family.
I myself have great memories of this beautiful lady,
and her daughters. We all went to school together, at
St.Michaels, Jr.High, and High School. When our Father
moved our family from Chicago to Plymouth, it was the
Palbykin home, that I realized life was different here in
Plymouth, then it was growing up in Chicago. My very first
invitation to a Birthday party for Julie. Loved horse's. I was
very afraid of not being accepted, but I made lots a friends
that are still a big part of my life today. Mrs. Palbykin was
the first other moms that made me feel welcomed with her
smile. May God Bless you all during this time of sorrow, yet
rejoice that your wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma is
home with our Lord, still smiling that beautiful smile.

Our thoughts and prayers to Don and his family. We miss seeing Don and Betty at Mass at St. Michaels. As a kid growing up, I will always have fond memories of both, in the early days stopping by in their cool cars at the folks, as well as the time Don and Dad spent involved in professional, and personal flying activities( including the gyrocopter!) I will always cherish those days along with the time spent with Marty teaching me to fly.. May God bless your families as you cherish your many wonderful memories..

A long time ago I had the privilege to meet Mrs. Palbykin through her daughter Debbie, my classmate. Two things I remember was how she made me feel welcome when I would visit and "what would you like for a snack!" Wow, she knew my book cover to cover. I have all good memories of the Palbykin family, my condolences, prayers, and wishes that her life will continually flow through her children and grandchildren. Another member of "the greatest generation" , gone, but only briefly.

I vaguely remember, I think it was the St. Michaels bazaar, your mother and Mrs. Flynn had some of the jewelry they had made there. Prayers to your family.

Betty was such a kind, artistic and resourceful person. When I read Proverbs 31 verses 10-31- I think about Betty..."for her worth is far above jewels..."

There are so many memories of good times at the house on Michigan Ave. I remember making Christmas ornaments at the kitchen table, watching fireworks on the front porch, watching Betty carefully and beautifully wrap presents, cook and organize laundry into each kid's basket. Your mom was so special and kind. My thoughts are with Don, Debi, Susan, Julie, Marty, Ann-Marie, Marty, Allen and Steve , and to all those whom she loved. Wishing you comfort and peace in this time of grief.

Rest in peace Mom. I cannot express how deeply missed you will be by Dad, your husband of almost 69 years and your 7 loving children, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grands.

You gave me all of the greatest gifts in life, starting with my brothers and sisters and a family foundation which is unshakeable.

Your love, friendship and advice can never be replaced.

I will treasure memories of you for as long as I live and I will try to live up to the example you set for us to follow.

Rest in peace Mom.

Mother of Seven
Resting in heaven
Wife of "the Don"
She was an icon

A Teacher, A Taylor, A HOMEmaker
for us,
A Mother, Historian, A reader
to us,
A Linguist, Artist, A student,
Her skills were endless,
But not nearly as much
as the beauty through her lenses

The lessons, and memories are what she will leave in our minds,
But her LOVE is what we will FEEL beyond these days and times

Don and all of the Palbykin Family,
Our family was so lucky to know Betty and the beauty she created for all of us as she lived her life in the fullness of all of the talents she had. I loved her smile and laugh; and her sense of humor. I will never forget the giant house that we ran through on N. Michigan street and the kindness of your family to make a home for our pony, Zephyr. Our joint family vacation to Cabana Point (Banana Point) is one of the memories that I treasure. All of the many memories of spending fun times with Julie, Debbie, Susie and Ann, Steve, Marty and Alan while our parents enjoyed each other's company are priceless. My heart is with all of you as your grieve. Betty was an incredible person, and I feel lucky to have known her. Take care Don, I think of you often and how kind you and Betty always were to check in about Mom, Maxine Coursey, regularly to see how she was doing. She'll be happy to welcome home her friend, Betty.

My deepest condolences to the entire Palbykin family. Aunt Betty was a warm, generous, kind soul that taught me many life lessons as a younger child. I will always have fond memories of our weekends with our dear cousins riding "Sugarfoot" and hanging out with one another. She will forever be missed. Love you all - my heart breaks along with yours. Grandma, Grandpa, Mom and Aunt Betty are having one heck of a reunion right now, and it brings a smile on my face.

My deepest, heartfelt condolences to Uncle Don and all my cousins. This is a huge loss to me. I have many fond memories of Aunt Betty. I spent more than one summer vacation visiting for extended periods of time with Aunt Betty acting as my surrogate mother. I have great memories of baking in the kitchen with her. She called the spatula a "child cheater" and it stuck with me -- even though she didn't cheat us very often. She taught me the fine art of egg separating. She cared for me and taught me how to swallow a pill after Doc Coursey's house call diagnosed my strept throat. I felt so triumphant. She taught me about art, and how important it was for an artist to not only see, but "feel" and know the texture of their subject. She had a wealth of art history knowledge, ever willing to teach and share. She had much love and compassion for animals. She was always the best dressed in the room!

My mother loved her big sister and was proud of her smarts. She talked about it often. I take solace knowing that Betty and Gloria are together once more, singing and playing piano with the angels. God bless you all.

Dear Family of Betty.

At this bittersweet time your memories will bring tears as well as much laughter.
We will be unable to attend the viewing or service due to prior commitment.
Knowing she is whole and resting until you will all be together, GOD's blessings to all.
