My heart goes out to you on your family's loss of such a kind-hearted, Christian man. When my family attended Calvary in the 1970's to 1980's, he was always there with a smile to welcome everyone to worship. I remember him ushering quite frequently, as well as greeting together with his sweet wife. He was a good & faithful servant of our Lord. We can be confident that John is Home with his Lord & Savior now! May God bless & keep Mary & the rest of John's family safe in His tender care as you grieve this painful loss.

With love,

Mrs.Myers, Doug and Todd, and family, please accept my sincerest condolences for the loss of you husband and father. He was always around when we wanted to play and never shied away from coming outside to play ball with us throwing a football or shooting some baskets. He was a good man and my memories of him and the times we spent at your home at the end of LaPorte street will always be in my heart and I will never forget him or your wonderful family.

John Myers will always be thought of as a kind, friendly and positive man. He was a loving son, husband and father and a good friend. The world is a better place because of him and would be a whole lot better off if more people could live by his example. He will be missed!
Rest in peace!

My heartfelt condolences to the family of one of the kindest and gentlest men I knew. I have so many fond memories of John and his family and I remember how much fun we had in the church softball league. He will have a high position in God's Kingdom because he was a living example of how to apply the Golden Rule, doing unto others as he would have others do unto him.

I look forward to seeing John when we celebrate life everlasting in Paradise. He just got there first. The family can feel proud to have had such a mentor guiding the course for his loved ones.

Maxine & Family

Nov16, 1926 - March 31, 2017

The last date we remember with tears.
But what matters most is the dash between his years.
John & you greeted everyone who came to church, what a great family!!
We hope you find peace in knowing others care.
It's very hard to say goodbye to such a great man.
Rest in Peace John.

My condolences go out to Mr. Myers' family as I learn of your loss. He was always Mr. Myers to me, but whenever he greeted me at church it was always with a huge smile and a warm two-handed shake that anyone who knew him meant he was so glad to see them. His effusive personality had me calling him Johnny in my head. He was a true leader in my church and a wonderful example of how to be a Christian and a servant of God. He is spending Easter this year with our risen Savior. May God bless Maxine and the rest of Johnny's family as you grieve the loss of your beloved husband, father, & grandfather.
