I am so very truly sorry for your loss. Butch was a breed of his own--one never to be paralleled--and a huge inspiration to me throughout my teenage years. He was one of those guys that I just felt made me "cooler" to be around. Butch ALWAYS treated me as a little brother. He made me feel like I was an important part of wherever we may have been. Such a great individual. There's an irreparable hole left in society now that he's not a part of it physically.

Family and friends of Jack,
I did not know Jack very well. I found him to be a gentle giant. He certainly had an imposing presence. He was coaching in C-League the same years that I was. I remember having more than a couple of discussions with him about this concern or that about baseball and even as unfamiliar with him as I was, I could tell that he put the kids (all the kids) as his first priority. Only the good die young? Not sure about that but I knew Jack to be good. I am very sorry for everyone's loss. Good luck to you all.
