Such kindness and respect he had for all his patients and those that he enter acted with.

He fought a long hard fight and waged the battle well.

I'm sure his kindness is being rewarded by the Almighty.

Mary Ann, Lisa and Michelle,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Dr. France was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I remember he was always so kind when I baby sat for the girls and when I had my surgery. Couldn't have asked for a better neighbor. Heaven has gained another angel. Prayers for peace and comfort for your all.

Dr France is now sleeping in God’s care. The suffering is now over and he is now at peace in the arms of God and the Angels.

As you know, we cannot buy the old days back when we were all together, but those we love don’t go away, they walk with us forever.

With Sympathy.

I was honored to work with Dr. France for more than 40 years. I was a medical record director during many of these years. Dr. France was always kind, considerate, and a gentle soul. His humble and quiet demeanor did not mask his tremendous gift while performing thousands of surgeries. He was also able to navigate the many changes that medicine endured during his working years and did so with integrity. I will miss Dr. France and know that they don't make them like him any more. His work ethic was reflected in the way he grew up and could be seen throughout his years of service to our community. Plymouth was blessed to have had such a great man and surgeon as a member of our community. May God hold him in his hand and tell him Great Job Lloyd!

Dear France Family,

Please accept my sincere condolences. Dr. France performed surgery on me in the Spring of 1963 when I was a 4th grader. I can still remember him as being on the 'quiet side'. After reading his Obituary, I now realize he was way too talented to have worked on my Appendix, but I'm so glad he did. I'm still going strong 53 years later. He was obviously a great man. May God grant you peace as you cope with this loss.

Our world has lost a special, kind, caring doctor and man. Dr. France delivered 2 of our 3 children. He did some minor surgery for me. He preformed a very delicate surgery on my late brother's hand after a sewing needle broke off in his palm in the very early 1960s. It's with much sadness that I've learned of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Thanks to Facebook I saw today that Dr. France had died after a long and eventful life of service to the community. When I was a young whipper-snapper of 16 I flipped the car I was driving (with my left hand out the window grabbing the roof). The car rolled with my hand between the roof and the gravel of Dixon Lake Trail. Dr. France was in one of the first years of his surgery practice and repaired my fingers at Parkview Hospital. As a testament to his skill that hand has never given me a bit of problem even after 112 stitches! RIP Doc. You were one of the Plymouth greats! May our Lord provide to his family the peace and comfort needed at this time.

A truly wonderful man, and doctor. My Mom was a nurse when he practiced at the original Plymouth hospital. I also worked as a nurse's aide in the summer. Kind, quietly confident with a reassuring bedside manner. May God bless you as you mourn his loss.

Thought and prayers to the family. What a great man. I had the privilege of working with Dr France and he was awesome. Even when called in the middle of the night he was calm, kind and just had a way with making you feel comfortable even when things were grim. We definitely need more like him. He will be missed by many.

Dear Mary Ann, I have lost a great friend and colleague.I scrubbed on many surgeries, some very complex with Lloyd.
It is strange that we were born on the same day and joined the Navy out of high school. He will be greatly missed by me and many friends and patients.

Dr. France was such a kind and caring man. I had the privilege of knowing him when I worked at the Parkview Hospital Lab for a number of years, and also as a patient in 1991. I will never forget his care and concern for me when I had complications after surgery. I know he treated everyone with gentle compassion. What a great person this world has lost, but heaven has gained an angel!! RIP Dr. France. We love you.

Dear Mary Ann and Family - Our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Lloyd. It’s certainly a loss for the entire community. As evidenced my this moving life story and as always known by those of us fortunate to have know him, Lloyd’s life was dedicated to serving his church, his family, his community, and his country. What an amazing life he lead with so many contributions, especially his gifts in the field of surgical medicine. Our little burg was blessed to have such a brilliant and generous soul. Please know that we share your grief at this difficult time. Sincerely, Ajean Treat and Family.

Never in my life was I ever not incredibly proud of you and grateful that you were my Father - you had more selflessness and dignity than most can even imagine.
