I want to offer my condolences to the Zartman family. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death. Even Jesus wept when Lazarus died(John 11:35) and it pains our creator, too. He has promise to bring our love one back to life. Jesus promised at John 5:28, 29 that "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" and he proved that it will happen by resurrecting Lazarus. Our creator promises that ?the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing?( 1 Corinthians 15:26). I hope these words from our Creator give all of you comfort.

To the Zartman family,
I knew Carroll from the "Old days at Plymouth Lumber" where he was a faithful customer. Always enjoyed our conversations. He will always be fondly remembered by me.

Dear Shirley and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. What a great guy Jerry was. Always willing to help with any (and all) projects. With his willingness came a great big smile and gently laugh. I will pray for you as you say goodbye and for the time after. He will never be forgotten. We still have a bookcase that he made. We referred to it as "the one Jerry made". It was special and so was he.

Carroll and I were Lodge brothers at the Tyner Odd Fellows Lodge. He was one of the finest gentleman one could ever hope to meet. I was awfully sorry to learn that he had passed.

On behalf of all the volunteers at Indy Honor Flight in Indianapolis, we extend our deepest sympathy to all that knew and loved Jerry and especially to the entire Zartman Family. We only knew Jerry for a short time and grew to love him quickly. We were so honored that Jerry was able to visit 'his' memorials in Washington, DC with us on April 23rd on Indy Honor Flight.

Carroll and I worked together the last three years in getting flags out to his cemetery. His service will be recognized each year as we place one more flag out, to honor a man who took time out of his life to serve his country. I pray you have the strength, family, and faith to get you through this difficult time.

May God grant your family comfort during this difficult time. I loved your dad's sense of humor, but his love of family is what really makes the memories of him last. It was obvious through your pictures that there was no greater joy than being with his family. Dad's are awesome and what a great one you were privileged to have. Peace.
