Mr. Books taught me the history of clay crocks and jugs when I was 15 years old. I had a summer job as a waitress at Mundy's Restaurant and on pay day I always stopped in to see what his shop, the B & B Stove Company, had to sell. By the end of the summer, he offered to buy some of my treasures back from me. A good educator who always took the time to teach me. Actually, he wouldn't let me purchase until I understood what I was buying--a piece of history.

Glen, Candy, Cindy, and Books Family,

Mr. Books was always a wonderful supporter of public libraries. I know all of you used the Plymouth Public Library from childhood well into adulthood. He was a wonderful example of lifelong learning for all ages. Keeping you in my heart and prayers.

Cindy and Candy,

I'm so sorry to read this sad news. I have such good memories of time with your family when we were kids. I wanted to read all of your dad's articles in the Pilot. I heard they were so good but the Pilot decided not to include them in their online edition. I hope your memories will bring you peace and comfort in the coming days. My thoughts will be with you and your family.
