Dot and Family,
My thought and prayers are with you. Gordon was such a wonderful man and always had a smile
for everyone. I always felt welcome in the Buckeye family when we had Christmas parties or went to conventions. If I had to stop down there everyone was always friendly and you could tell they enjoyed their jobs. He was so out going. He will be missed by many.

Hi Dot and Family,

We are sorry to see that Gordon has passed. Andrea and I are out of the country and will not be able to attend services. It was an honor to know and work for Gordon. He was a great role model. Gordon was always fair in business, willing to serve our agricultural industry and giving when it came to his community. His teasing came with a great sense of humor and his smile came straight from the heart.

Please know that our prayers are with you,

Dot & Family,
I am at a loss for words to express my sadness for you & your family. I had the blessed opportunity of knowing Gordon as I was growing up and being friends with Barb. I know heaven just received one of the most special angels. Gordon was the nicest man I ever knew. I looked up to him in the way he treated people with respect and empathy. I am so sorry for your loss. Love to you, Barb & all of your family from me.

Dot and Family:
Just wanted to share how sorry we are for losing such a great man. Gordon meant so much to so many. He was so kind and caring, and just ornery enough to always make others laugh and feel special. Since the loss of my dad, he was pretty much my go to guy for advice whether it be professional or personal. He was so proud of his family, as he should be! I loved to hear him tell stories about all their successes and accomplishments. As a father, I listened closely hoping to gain some insight that would help me raise my girls. I doubt he ever realized how important our talks were to me...but they were. If I saw his truck at the coffee shop, I made sure I stopped! I never had a conversation with him where I didn't learn something. That is special and rare.

My family and I will pray for you all and hold Gordon's memory in our hearts. Both Sophie and Hannah loved to see him and on more than one occasion tried to dodge him pulling their pony tail. He would also share with me how my life would change as they got older and became teenagers. The whole time smiling and laughing about what was to come for me.

He was truly a great man and will be missed by so many, we wish you peace in knowing that heaven held a special place for him!

Dear Pam,

I remember seeing your dad not long before my dad passed away. Actually at the funeral home in Argos. He was so kind, asked me a lot of questions about what I was doing, how I was and was so happy to catch me up on you and your life. I remember his warm smile. I am thinking of you and your family as you feel his loss and share many wonderful memories of your dad.

Gordon was one of the most positive people I ever met. His quiet demeanor and logical thought processes always led to productive time when you were with him. He defined the term "Family Man" like few I ever met. His Catholic Faith defined him in all of his dealings. His work will continue because of the many people with whom he shared his time, talent and love. I know that his family will find "Joy in the Mourning" because of his positive influence and concern for others. He has finished the race...and he ALWAYS Kept the Faith!

Dear Dot & your family...We send our heartfelt condolences! Almighty God in in grace sent Gordon & you into my life when I was financially & more importantly emotionally and spiritually destitute! He gave me a book titiled "See You at the Top." It inspired me because as his best friend said of him... "Many people loved him because he gave so much love to so many."
I was was blessed to be one of the "many." Although this book was not the Holy Bible and there are many who can quote Bible verse after verse...it is what It was then and still is to me. It was not so much the contents of it's pages although they were inspiring. It was more about what he did ...in addition to his encouraging words! . It was the Bible "living in and through him!" It was the Love of Jesus speaking In Gordon's simple act! He took the time to recognize and "love" someone who was simply acting in an "un-lovable" way at that point in my life! May I now be one of the "many" who testifies to this : Gordon shared his life serving others....his family & community ... His fellow man no matter how "low" the world might place them on the list of important people . He "became the last so that he now can be the first." It is then for this reason we can say we love you eternally Gordon & Dot and "We'll See You at the Top!!!!" Johnny & Jennifer Sult Hannah & Lucas 💕

Dot,

I am so sorry that Ed and I weren't able to come to Gordon's visitation. What a shock when we read that he had passed away. The last time we saw you was in the Castaways Restaurant and you were telling me that he was having issues but you were very optimistic. We are so sorry and you have our deepest sympathies. We will remember you in our prayers. Gordon was a very special man; your lives mirrored ours in many ways...childhood sweethearts, 60+ years of marriage,etc....what a blessing for both of you. Your marriage has been an inspiration to many.
