My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Eldon Shafer family. He had such a great love for his family and in the last three years added Carol's loving family. Eldon had a love for life, family and a special place in his heart for his church family. He will be truly missed by all.

Eldon you will be missed for your honesty and your sense of humor. You have left a great legacy....your family. You not only deeply cared for your sons and their family, but also your neices, nephews, their families, and your Church family.You were so fortunate not only to have Dodie for 48 years, but to have Carol in your life for the last three years.
Carol, you were a Godsent to Eldon and his family. We think of you all at this time, and of his departure to a world free of pain.

So very sorry to hear of Eldons' passing. Please find comfort in knowing we care and he is at peace and in no more pain. You have wonderful memories to sustain you at this time. The first time I met Eldon was in the late 1960's. I was with my parents visiting my Aunt Joan & Uncle Lester. I remember Eldon as a young man who was very pleasant & kind.
My contact with Eldon was limited over the years. Perhaps the last time I saw him was when Dorothy & Eldon came to visit us during one of their trips to PEI. They ended up staying for dinner. Conversation flowed easily around the table. That first impression from an earlier time of a 'down to earth' & kind individual was once again reinforced. It was also evident that Eldon had a quiet pride & love for you, his family.
During this time of grief, I hope you can find solace in the love that he felt for all of you.

Just learned of Eldons passing. He and I served together and kinda grew up together at Loring AFB for over three years We were best friends and I will never forget him A great guy My sincere condolences to the family
