What a gentle, kind and joy-filled spirited lady! She will be remembered by her nightly visits to give each resident at CKH a blessing. My mom was a lucky receipent of her prayers, as was I when I was visiting my mom in the evening. When we thanked her, she replied, "God has been so good to me, so I want to share it with others." Thank you, Sr. Maxine!!

My sympathy and prayers to her family and all the PHJC Sisters for the loss of one so dear.

May Sr. Maxine rejoice with our Lord. She has touched many hearts, including mine. Sr. Maxine always concerned and prayed for others, especially world peace, the USA, and politicians. Sister made every individual feel blessed. I appreciated her with her living out God's love for all and asking Him to bless each individual she laid her hands upon in "Bed Time Blessings" She had physical pain and mental of the loss of her family members and her deep faith gave her strength always. She hared herself with others. Sr. Maxine will always be in my heart and her teaching me by her loving faithful actions.

Sympathy and many prayers,

To the friends and family of Sr. Maxine: I am one of the daughters of Sr. Maxine's first cousin Virgil Kannall. I live far from Indiana so I didn't have a lot of contact w/ her, but we did write letters to each other on occasion. I recently re-read a Christmas card she sent me 11 years ago. She truly understood the real meaning of Christmas. She mentioned that "Christmas is more than just giving and receiving presents. Our greatest present from God is the gift of His Son, Jesus." She also told me that she prayed for me each day. How I will miss knowing that she is praying daily for me, but perhaps she is still doing so from her current residence :) . Sr. Maxine was 97 when she passed. My father turned 90 this year, and I know he will one day join her. In the meantime we are cherishing our time with him, and remembering fondly our beloved Sister Maxine. My sympathies to all who love her. A blessed and Merry Christmas to you all!
