Mrs. Baldwin was my favorite teacher at Woodside Elementary School, I had rheumatic fever as a child and she spent many recesses with me teaching me how to crochet. What a wonderful lady she was. I will never forget her. I would see her around town after I graduated and she always remembered me, I even took my own children to meet her. My condolences to your family, she will be missed, but never forgotten.

Dear Family of Thelma Baldwin,
Sorry to read of the passing of a dear friend, Thelma. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at your loss. Thelma was a Mentor to me when I moved to Frankfort, IN to begin my Speech and Hearing Therapy work in the Elementary Schools of Frankfort. My office was in Woodside School and she made it a point to include me in any of the teachers' gatherings. She taught me to play bridge and got me involved in a teacher's bowling team. What a wonderful, caring lady! I will always remember her kindnesses. I know she was very active in St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Frankfort and that is now our church home. She lived a long and fruitful life and I hope she was comfortable at the end.
Yours in sympathy, Janice E. Gill

We lived down Clay St. From Thelma. I had many great visits on the sidewalk with her and Cricket. She was a grand lady and talked about her family often.

So sorry to hear that my favorite teacher has fallen asleep in death. I was in the class of 1989. Mrs. Baldwin made school fun. Sometimes she would let me help her out in her classroom before school started. My mom also had her as a teacher, and she also said that Mrs. Baldwin was her favorite teacher. My oldest son had the pleasure of meeting her. Sandra Winchester Vasquez

I met Thelma through the Clinton County Adult Literacy Program. I enjoyed her stories of growing up and of the different languages spoken in the neighborhood. As one of the few tutors who was not a retired teacher I got a lot of use from her hints/helps for working w/people who learned differently than I did. She was always teaching.

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure you have many good memories.

I was very sad to hear about the passing of Thelma. She and I had so many fun times teaching 5th grade at Woodside School ( 1965-1969). We also enjoyed playing bridge and bowling. My best to all of her family.

I am deeply sorry for your loss and so happy for heavens gain for Thelma. She was a great woman! Thelma shared her life stories and lessons. Deeply caring for her family and friends s from her christian heart and the way she followed in what the Lord needed her to do. Her smile, laughter, intellect, and quick witt were delightful. Thelma was a prayerful person always putting others needs before herself. I came to know Thelma and embrace her as friend at the Maria Center and Catherine Kasper Life Center. Thelma will be missed but now is embracing the fullness of God's embrace.

Sincerest sympathy to all,
