Betty, I was shocked to hear of Ned's passing. We were at Daytona the 3rd week of October and spoke of you and Ned and times we had spent with you folks.

Betty and family,

So very sorry for the loss of your husband and father. I remember Ned when he used to stop in the X-ray dept when it was in the basement of Parkview Hospital. I worked next door in the lab. Those were some good times. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this sad time. May good memories be a comfort to you until you meet your loved one again.

In sympathy,
Barb Lowry

Betty, Deb, Dave, and Diann, I am so sorry to get the news of Ned's passing. What a life well lived !
Ned will always remain one of the favorite people who have influenced my life. I feel so privileged to have known him. Ned meant a lot to me.

I have so many fond memories of our conversations and the advice he gave me when I was attending Purdue. He always had that "Ned" grin that was as big as his glass of iced tea. It didn't matter if it was watching me almost break the hay baler off the tractor, or the look on his face when I drove up the driveway in a 63 Corvair after he'd spent so much time taking me to auto auctions.

Many is the time he would maintain an even strain, no matter what incredible drama unraveled around him. I have always wished I could be more like Ned in that regard. No doubt it was Ned and the Haag Family that introduced me to the South that I have made my home.

I grieve with your family for his loss. In my minds eye, I can see Ned in Paradise at peace in the presence of the Lord. In the fullness of time, when my time comes, I know Ned will be one of the ones welcoming me through the Pearly Gates. (At least I won't be driving a 63 Corvair!)

Sending my thoughts & prayers for you during this difficult time,

Matt
