Sister Philomene has been a powerful influence in the lives of so many people.
We have loved her and will miss her very much. She will continue the wonderful work she has done now that she is in heaven....John and Liz Fiegle and family

My name is Tom Maxwell. I live in northern Wisconsin. I'm a native of South Bend and a Notre Dame graduate.

Several years ago I was driving near Donaldson and stopped to tour the Ancilla campus.
I met Sr. Philomene who not only gave me a tour but also provided a history of her order and her family. I remember her as a kind, dedicated person who was commited to her profession and following in the footsteps of our saviour.

She was a wonderful person !

Sr. Philomene continued her ministry of healing and service until her dying day. She was a great friend to my mother and sister as they moved to the Catherine Kasper Living Center. Sr. Philomene was a special healing presence during my mother's time there, especially in her last weeks and days. All of us ten children felt blest to be greeted by name by Sr. Philomene each time we visited our mother or sister at KCLC.

Sr. Philomene proved that one can preach the Gospel up to one's last dying day ... using words only when necessary ... using a smile and kind greeting always.

I will forever miss my friendship with Sr Philomene. She was not only my friend but my confidant and advisor. It has been a privilege to have had her in my life.
