Norma, I remember the first time I met you and Chuck...we stepped into an elevator at the hospital to visit Grandma Ripley. I was 8 years old and I could not believe how tall your husband was :o). I know your heart is grieving as you have lost half of yourself with his passing. Know that I am praying for you and your entire family through this difficult time. You will always be family to me. I pray God comforts you in the days ahead.

Mike, Mitch and Mark: you had an amazing dad. Prayers for each of you in the days ahead.

Norma,
I was so saddened to read of Chuck's passing. I thoroughly enjoyed the many stories and talks I had with Chuck regarding everything from automobiles to politics. He was a wonderful person to know and I'm certain, an even better husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by many, including myself. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Norma, Mike, Mitch & Mark:

Chuck was a true leader in our community. He had a passion for Plymouth and it showed...yet, he always talked about "the farm," so his love of Adams County was just as important to him! He will be missed in the City of Plymouth, but we all know he is in the real God's Country right now.

GodSpeed, my friend!

Condolences to you/your family, Norma. I enjoyed working with Chuck. I have fond memories of my 'short' conversations with him! I still enjoy wearing the angel pin -- and get many comments. He will be missed.

Michelle, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. There is nothing like a grandparent, and I know it's hard when you lose those special people in your life... no matter WHAT age you or they are. I lost my one Grandad when I was your age and I was at BSU... I lost my other Grandad just last year when I was 45 years old, and it was just as hard both times. I am thankful for your Grandpa, that he didn't have to suffer through a life of bad health. He sounds like he was a very HARD WORKING, WELL LIKED, GOOD SERVANT man.... you are probably all very proud to be his family, and you should be. Know that he is in his eternal home and he will one day greet you there. May many GOOD memories and God's peace fill your hearts and minds now.

Dear Norma,
I was shocked to hear of Chucks passing. I always admired how he stood strong on his beliefs and tried to do what was right for the City during his time on the city council. I'm glad we had a chance to visit on Saturday. Please know that he will be missed and that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time.
God Bless,

I was saddened to hear of Chuck's passing and sorry that I could not make the visitation services.

I met Chuck through our company's dealings through City Council and various boards. He always listened to my opinions and gave thoughtful insight into the issues we faced. He wasn't afraid to speak his mind, even when he might be in the minority opinion.

Over a ten year period we got to know each other, and he always bragged on Norma's bowling prowess, his children's various accomplishments, and his grand kids.

I grew up in Bluffton, and we could always swap stories regarding Huntington and Decatur.

I will miss seeing Chuck's smiling face out and about, and only hope that I can live as full a life as he did.

Again, my condolences.
