Wow....I am shocked! Carl was a good guy. I worked with him at the Holiday Inn. He was always the guy that pushed up his sleeves and jumped in there and helped us out. I respected him so much because even though he was the boss it was not above him to jump in and bus tables or wash dishes. He would pick up tables to help catch us up. He was a great buy! He will be missed! Gods speed my friend.

Carl used to come in Wagoner's Music Shop and check out our guitars, and he always had a kind word for me. I enjoyed chatting with him there, or when I would see him at Sears. I also enjoyed the meals he prepared when we ate at Hayloft Restaurant. My condolences to his family and children. He will be missed.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. We have very fond memories of Carl, especially from the Holiday Inn and Hayloft years during the 80s and 90s. He was a hard worker, gracious host, and talented manager and chef. His dry sense of humor and "region" sarcasm could cut like a knife or provide necessary levity in a stressful situation. His unforgettable spirit will always live in our hearts. May your fond memories of him help you find peace and comfort in the days to come.

It is hard to convey the importance Carl will always have in our lives. He was a very unique individual and cannot be compared to anyone else we've ever known. Carl helped to guide us in making The Hayloft restaurant a quality establishment. We were a family there and we have lost a family member. The fun and special times we all had together at The Hayloft have filled our lives with endless happy memories. Save us a table, Carl. We are looking forward to your Beef Wellington again.

Our condolences to his family and many friends. We will not forget him. With Love, Ron and Sue Crawford

Carl's Family

I worked at the Balloon Wurks' when Carl was the manager. I always enjoyed working when he was there. He made everything run smoothly, was always fair, & pitched in to help "big time" when we were busy. He was friendly , funny & courteous.
This a big loss to the family & everyone who knew him.

From our family to yours, we share in your sorrow with the loss of Carl.
At the Balloon Wurks, he led by example and truly had a passion for the
restaurant business. What I will remember and love most about Carl is how
in our greatest time of need after my dad's sudden passing, he was there not
only for us but our Balloon Wurks Family and Guests. We will be forever
grateful.

RIP Dear Friend....

To all Carl's friends and family,
I worked with Carl at Holiday Inn, Hayloft & the Country Club. What a great boss & co-worker!! We worked very hard, but had a lot of fun doing it. Carl would pitch in to help, with no complaints. We could "always" count on him!
My husband says, "I just plain liked him!"
We will miss his kind voice and pleasant smile.
May God bless his family.

God Bless you Carl this world could use a few more like you!

To all of Carl's family,

I couldn't believe when I just read today that Carl had passed. I too worked with him at Balloon Wurks and enjoyed that time together. I would agree with everyone's words that he was a great worker, boss, and friend. We actually lived just down the block from each other on Charles St. I bought the house that your family once rented on Charles St. I'm sure you will miss him and will enjoy the many memories you can now treasure.

Sincerely,
Carole Drake
