Dan,
So sorry for your loss. I didn't know Kathy, but she would come in to CVS to get her cruise pictures developed and we would spend a few moments talking about the fun you all had on them. Prayers to you and your family.

Our deepest sympathies on Kathy's passing. Knowing her as a child you could tell she was going to grow up into a beautiful woman. To know she is with our God in heaven is the only comfort we can take from this. All our love and prayers to her parents and family. God bless you all.

My heart goes out to all of you and I pray the Lord gives you all strength as you face this difficult loss.

Kathy was truly a very special person to everyone she met. Even though I only met her a couple years ago, we quickly grew close and had conversations nearly every single day. She will and already is missed greatly by many. I prayed so very hard for a different outcome, but we must accept God's plan. I know she is now happy and at peace.

I won't say goodbye to Kathy, but "see you later", as I know we will meet again in the presence of God.

To all my cousins, the loss of Kathy is as hard as life gets. When I heard the news my heart sank and I still find it hard to believe. I remember Kathy as a wonderful and bright spirit, I only wish I would have taken the time to have gotten to know her as an adult. Life is so short and yet so fragile, but life becomes so involved that we sometimes forget what is important. All I can do now is pray, say a Rosary, and keep her and all of you in my thoughts, in my heart and learn the lesson, that family, friends and our faith in God are the most important parts of life in this time we spend on this earth as mortals. There are very few people who realize what God would make of them if they abandoned themselves into his hands, and let themselves be formed by his grace. I believe Kathy was one of the few. May her soul, and the souls of all our dearly departed Through the mercy of God, Rest in Peace.

Your loving cousin,

Keith Mayes

I am so very sorry for your loss. Kathy meant so much to so many. She faced life with humor and a positive attitude and was sweet and always full of fun & mischief. She was the kind of person that if she asked "how are you?"....she was truly interested and wanted to know. Everyone acquainted with Kathy felt her positive presence. She was a Bright Light in all of our lives! My thoughts and prayers are with you, her family, who will feel her loss the greatest and so very deeply. God Bless you and give you strength to get through this terrible time. I feel some comfort in knowing that our loss is Heaven's gain.

Susan,
It was so generous of you to let me share in Kathys final days. I loved that kid:-) It is still so hard to believe she has left us. Today was mine to see that she was finally at rest. i could see that Randy took wonderful care of her and that she was pain free and at peace. Thank you God for answered prayers. her pain and her strength took my breath away. I have never felt the strength from anyone the way I felt it from Kathy at the hospital. So determined to be strong and not give up. Her only concern was what would happen to Sarah. Kathy was such a joy and she will always have a very special place in my heart. I remember walking in to the hospital and not knowing what to expect only to have her say "may i help you". I thought oh no she doesn't know me. Then she smiled that georgous smile and welcomed me in. My heart started to pound again. My breath came back. We had an awesome conversation. I wanted to hug her so bad as I have so many times but I was afraid I would hurt her. She was so frail.
As I told you, she was rather brittle with youas you left...then looked at me and said"she loves me".:- She knew you loved her so much and she saw,the pain in your face. I cried all the way home. I knew the truth but god it was so hard to face.
She was joy, forgiveness, love, laughter and smart, so very smart. She was humor...which covered the pain and sarcasism that got her through life and the pain of life. Above all she was kindness!
My deepest deepest sympathy to your family as you have lost what God now calls an angel. But he will leave her in your hearts as well as mine.
Much love!
