Everyone has a favorite teacher. I was lucky to have two favorites. Miss Gurthet was my kindergarten teacher and Mrs. Beatty was my second grade teacher at Jefferson School. What can you say about a person that taught so many people about the most important skills needed to get through life? In kindergarten she taught me, and many others, how to socialize, negotiate, share, care, and live a good life. Her teaching skills in reading, music, and other subjects pretty much prepared us for the future coming out of second grade. Mrs. Beatty had a life devoted to teaching and helping others ; she did that very well. Did I mention that she was also the prettiest teacher in the whole world!
My sympathy to Mrs. Beatty's family.

I rejoice for Betty, but my sadness is for the emptiness she leaves behind for Bob and the family. She will be fondly remember by the many who knew her.

My sincere sympathy to you, Bob, and the family. You were such good church friends to my parents. I will always remember Betty taking me to Bremen each day of my student teaching at the high school. Betty had such a good heart and gave of herself in so many ways. Our sympathy and love to you and your family.

Dear Bob, Brian, Becky and Brad,
We are very sorry that we can't be there to share our thoughts and prayers with you. Losing someone so suddenly tests your faith. In the difficult days ahead, we know that your love and support of each other is going to get stronger. Betty for sure is already letting her opinion and humor be known to those above. The selfishness that we have as humans is that we feel cheated because we miss her and all we are left with is a lifetime of wonderful memories that make us smile.
Please know that we pray that God will strengthen you and be with you in this difficult time.
