It saddens me to hear the news about Stacey. As a kid he was on my dad's little league team. One memory that stands out is when a winning run was on 3rd base, Stacey was pitiching. The runner was leading off the base trying to steal home, and Stacey knocked him down and layed on him until the got him the ball. Of course, the runner wasn't out because of interference. LOL My dad jerked him off the field and benched him for the rest of the game. He was heartbroken that my dad, Joe had to do that.

He was a kind hearted young kid I grew up with over the years. So sorry to hear about him passing. Bless you in the time of healing.

My condolences to all of the Bonnell family. Stacey was a mentally and physically tough kid. He displayed courage his whole life. I really enjoyed being a coach and a friend to him and all of your family.

What a sad day to have to say goodbye to such a true friend that I've ever had the privilege to know tomorrow. Stacey spent his life making others happy....that's the person he was. He was the most easy going and unselfish person you could ever know. Stacey looked for the best in everything. He was a family man...who loved his wife and kids and his grandkids and dogs. He loved his country and his friends and proudly served us all. Rest in peace my friend...you will not be forgotten
